In which a "fully vaccinated" friend gets COVID for the third time
And provides some anecdotal data.
I had intended to write about something of more gravity, but this came up in the meantime.
My husband’s 21-year-old nephew has been staying with us. Two days ago, he arrived home not feeling well. Yesterday and today, he’s been in bed all day with fever, headache, backache, cough, and unable to eat or play videogames, which is normally his default activity when he’s home.
It made me curious whether he had covid. Of course, it could be any flu-type illness, but given the fact that a) it’s summertime, and very unusual at this time of year; b) he’s young and seemingly healthy; and c) he’s fully “vaccinated” for covid, I wondered.
I pondered picking up one of the free rapid antigen tests always sitting out on a table in the local Walmart entrance, in order to do a small scientific experiment. I have not received any of the mRNA shots. My husband received one, had an adverse event, and won’t get another.
We had what was probably covid in January of this year. I didn’t test because I didn’t want to cooperate in any way with the covid regime. Given that everyone I knew had it around that time, including the “vaccinated”, it seemed most probable.
Now, I was curious to know whether our nephew had it, and whether we would pick it up. I chickened out on asking him to do a test because I didn’t want to weird him out or invade his privacy. But today, he asked me to pick up a test for him when I went out.
We went through the whole little procedure together and shortly there began to appear the two solid lines that indicated a positive result. We waited the requisite 10 minutes to be sure, but there was no doubt.
I then interviewed him about his experience, because he’d told me previously that he’d had covid. It turns out this is actually the third time he’s had it. The first was in December 2021, after receiving the first covid shot, confirmed by test. It was extremely mild; he only lost his sense of taste for about one day.
In January 2022, he had the second covid shot. In February, he got covid again, also test-confirmed. That time was also mild, but worse than the first. He had headache and body aches for two days but never lay down to rest; he went about the house living normally, apart from going to work.
Now, in August 2022, he has covid for the third time within eight months, and it’s much worse than the previous two, although thankfully he’s improving.
But honestly. No covid prior to the shots. One shot, gets covid. Second shot, gets covid, slightly worse. Five months later, gets it again, much more severe. Please tell me in what world are these stupid shots making this in any way better?!
This is fascinating because while I read voraciously all the data and evidence about the shots making covid worse, I do sometimes wonder if it’s real or if I’ve just chosen to believe a different set of scientists who have a different opinion. Maybe this is the case for everyone, but I always wonder if my minority beliefs are true. Mainstream gaslighting does cause doubt. Coming across a real-life example brings it all home and makes me realize I’m not imagining it.
Now the only thing left in my scientific experiment is whether non-vaccinated me and/or my single-vaccinated husband come down with the coof. If we don’t, more evidence for the theory that natural immunity is better, and for the hypothesis that we got it earlier this year.
I recently got a full on dose of Rona from my 3x vaxxed employee. He personally couldn’t have cared
less about the jabs but like most men I talk to, did it because of the wife. The other 30% for the job. He was coughing and achy as @@@@. He came in to work to escape solitary confinement at home lol.
Me and my unvaxxed brother? Nada. Nothing, not even a cough. Just an immunity update to ba5 from ba1 and bro, probably up grade from Wuhan grade a strain. Though his 3x vaxxed nurse wife was recently sick as a dog too. Like for 2 plus weeks. God bless that natural immunity.
“Please tell me in what world are these stupid shots making this in any way better?!”
Exactly this!!! Why aren’t more people asking these basic questions. It’s believe what we say not what you see with your own eyes.
