I copied this from Sam Faddis' "And Magazine" Substack today. The entire "immigration" issue is practically unbelievable and bets are on that most citizens just will not believe that it's true even with Wray saying it's so.

"Meanwhile, our southern border no longer exists. The Border Patrol has been transformed into a Welcome Wagon for illegal immigrants, and all across Central America, a conveyor belt of camps funded largely by the United States government moves millions of people from all over the world into our country in violation of all existing laws. We have no effective methodology for vetting these people. We have no idea who they are or why they are here."

Yes, the States is its whole own issue. It's hard to tell why "progressive" governments are doing this. I don't find the theory that it's to buy voters believable. In Canada, many think it's to replace a population that is dwindling due to low birthrates. Or maybe it really is simply ideology and they're too blinkered and stubborn to give up even when their ideology is causing massive problems. I think the issue is that the elites who create immigration policy are completely insulated from its effects, so they have no incentive to change it. They can look good and feel virtuous, while the ordinary citizen pays the price. Eric Adams seems to be one who is waking up due to the impact on his city.

The new voter bloc is hard for me to believe, too. What is not hard to believe is the fear of national identity. Uncontrolled immigration surely has an effect. Ireland currently in the news with just that 'hateful' response to cultural differences. There really does seem to be an evil force at work to un-civilize what was barely civilized.

A liberal in my woman’s sermon study says the border problem of mass immigration in the dangerous levels WE know is happening is just “fake news”.

Right. It would be interesting to find out if they are Liberal party family members or donors.
